Pekka Ansio Heino was born in Helsinki, Finland on January 6, 1976 and grew up in the nearby town of Kerava. He began singing in his early teens, and eventually joined the band Cashmir, and spent about 10 years with them. He later joined the hard rock/AOR band Brother Firetribe (along with Cashmir keyboardist Tomppa Nikulainen) and the melodic metal band Leverage, and then finally began to achieve the success that he deserved. Both bands released their debut albums in 2006, and Pekka received the MelodicRock.com Vocalist of the Year award for 2006.

This site is not official; it is just my way of paying tribute to my favorite singer in the world!
